Dear Councillors,
As everyone should by now be aware, the Ministry of Education and our school are taking precautionary measures to control the spread of the H1N1 flu virus, especially among young ones like yourself. Hence, the following steps have been implemented.
1) Anderson Student Council Annual Training CampThis camp will be cancelled. We will conduct the training sessions in small successive sessions when school reopens. I will give more information when term starts. All newly nominated student councillors will be placed under probation for the time being, pending further action. They will form part of the Fusion Committee for now.
Note: New student councillors, do note that you are not officially a Student Councillor as yet. It is still pending the final clearance from the Student Leadership Committee and the investiture ceremony. As probationary student councillors you will still be involved in all council activities unless specified otherwise by a Student Leadership teacher.
2) Anderson Student Council 9th InvestitureThe Investiture to officially institute the 9th ASC is postponed to a later time. That does not mean that Sylvia and company are having their term extended. They will step down OFFICIALLY on the first day of Term 3. Hidhir and company will officially take over as of day one of school in Term 3. We wish to thank the 8th Exco for their hardwork and guidance, especially in this troubled year. Congratulations to the 9th Exco and we wish the team all the very best.
Note: All councillors involved in Investiture prep, pls do the nec to postpone the event.
3) Anderson Leaders' ForumAs this event involves a politician, we are awaiting confirmation on the next step from Mrs Mok, Supt (North). Further information will be released later.
Dear councillors, this is the time for us to rally together and learn how to respond and be flexible according to ever changing situation. Ability to cope and handle these sprouts of developments marks true leadership. Make sure that all of you stay away from school unless specifically requested by a teacher officially. Stay at home and have plenty of rest. Take Vit C and drink lots of water.
Take care councillors.
